CASE 01 / 03
Mining & Resources In Production

1,400+ compliance requirements, audited automatically, every single day.

A mid-size mining services operator was spending $80K+ per year on manual compliance auditing — slow, error-prone, and at constant risk of missing legislative changes. They needed something that could keep up with 1,400+ regulatory requirements without a team of people watching it.

The Problem

1,400+ regulatory requirements — impossible to audit thoroughly by hand
Legislation changes frequently, creating constant non-compliance risk
Compliance knowledge concentrated in one or two people

What We Built

AI compliance engine that audits documentation against all 1,400+ requirements daily
Automatic monitoring of legislative changes, with flagging and alerts
Reporting dashboard showing compliance status, gaps, and recent changes
Enterprise-grade security throughout

The Result

$80K+ annual audit cost anticipated to be eliminated
Every requirement audited daily, not quarterly
Legislative changes caught within 24 hours
Audit-ready documentation available on demand

CASE 02 / 03
Transport & Logistics Deployed

After-hours breakdown recovery, fully automated 24/7 — without a single staff member on call.

A fleet operator needed after-hours breakdown coverage but couldn’t justify the cost of overnight staff. Drivers were stranded, calls were missed, and recovery coordination was slow and manual. They needed a system that could handle the entire process — from the driver’s first call through to a confirmed tow.

The Problem

Drivers stranded after hours with no one available to take the call
Missed recovery jobs, unacceptable response times
On-call staff costs unsustainable; driver safety at risk

What We Built

AI phone agent that answers every call, captures location and breakdown details
Automatic lookup against client database to verify coverage
Payment link sent to non-covered drivers before dispatch
Agent contacts recovery centres and organises the tow automatically

The Result

24/7 coverage without a single after-hours staff member
Every call answered and actioned — zero missed breakdowns
Faster response times, safer and better-supported drivers
Full audit trail for reporting and compliance

CASE 03 / 03
Construction & Fit-Out Solution Designed

A voice-first AI executive assistant, running while leaders are between sites, meetings, and the office.

A growing office fit-out and renovation company has senior leaders constantly on the move — between client meetings, project sites, supplier conversations, and head office. Email pile-up, lost car time, scattered project information, and verbal commitments getting forgotten were costing the leadership team hours every week. AI Answers designed an OpenClaw-powered executive assistant that sits over their existing systems — no replacements required.

4–6 hrs
Anticipated weekly time saved per executive
$18K
Projected monthly value returned (3 execs)
0
Existing systems replaced

The Problem

Executives losing hours to email triage before they can respond on project context
Drive time between sites and meetings going completely unused
Project info spread across PM tools, spreadsheets, email, and folders
Verbal commitments and on-site notes routinely forgotten or delayed

What We Designed

Voice-first AI assistant that reads, summarises, and drafts emails in context
Plain-English project lookups — status, risks, variations, deadlines
Hands-free note capture and task creation while driving or on site
Sits over Outlook, project tools, and spreadsheets — no system replacements

The Result

4–6 hours per executive per week anticipated to be returned
Faster client responses — emails drafted while travelling
Fewer missed follow-ups; commitments captured immediately
Better project visibility for senior leaders, no new systems to learn
// 7:30am — driving to first site The MD says: What’s my project briefing for today? The assistant reads back urgent emails, overdue follow-ups, project risks, and the key decisions waiting on them. By 8:15am, after a site walk-through, they dictate a note: Add a note to the Albion fit-out — client wants two alternative workstation layouts before furniture goes on order. Logged, task created, design team notified. None of it touched a screen.

Multiple Industries. One Problem.

Every project starts the same way — a 30-minute conversation with Andy to see if AI is actually the right tool for what you’re trying to fix.

Common questions about these projects

A few things people often ask after reading our case studies. If you’ve got a question that isn’t here, the fastest way to an answer is a free 30-minute chat with Andy.

How long does an AI automation project actually take to deliver?
Most proof-of-concept projects are delivered in 2 to 6 weeks. Full builds — like the mining compliance engine, which took 8 weeks to production — are scoped in clear phases with milestones agreed upfront. Larger programs like the executive AI assistant are delivered in 5 staged phases over a few months, with the first working prototype usually within weeks. We’d rather move at a pace that gets it right than rush something that breaks under real-world load.
How much do projects like the ones in these case studies cost?
First projects typically run between A$3,500 and A$8,000 for a tightly-scoped proof of concept. Larger production builds are quoted in stages once the POC has proven value. Many projects also qualify for the Australian R&D Tax Incentive — up to 43c back per eligible dollar — which can materially reduce net cost. For the full breakdown of how we structure work and what things typically cost, see our pricing page.
Do these results apply to smaller businesses, or only large operations?
The featured case studies are mid-sized operators (50 to 200 staff), but the underlying patterns — eliminating manual paperwork, automating after-hours coverage, giving senior leaders better information without changing their tools — apply equally to smaller teams. The investment scales with scope. A 10-person operation might automate one workflow for A$3,500; a 200-person business might run a multi-phase program over a year.
Our systems are old and don’t have APIs — could we still get a result like these?
Yes. All three case studies involved integrating with systems that weren’t built for modern automation. We’ve worked with software that has no API, runs behind firewalls, requires manual portal logins, or uses CAPTCHAs. Custom scrapers, browser automation, and middleware layers all sit in our toolkit.
What if our team isn’t technical — can we actually use the things you build?
Yes — that’s the point. The executive AI assistant case study is the clearest example: senior leaders use it by voice, in the car, between meetings, with no training required. We design every build for the people who’ll actually use it, not for IT. Where systems are technical (like the mining compliance engine), the people whose jobs change get walked through the new workflow and have support available.
Are these case studies based in Queensland, or do you work nationally?
AI Answers is based in Queensland. We work with clients across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and the rest of Queensland, and remotely with businesses across Australia. Andy is happy to visit on-site for Queensland clients when needed. Read more about our work across Queensland →
What happens after the first project is delivered?
That’s entirely your call. The mining client moved from POC to a full multi-phase build. The transport client kept the breakdown agent running and is scoping a second project. Some clients put us on a monthly retainer; others come back every few months with a new problem to solve. We’re a partner, not a vendor.
